Introduction
It is also known as break bone fever. It occurs when an Aedes mosquito carrying the virus bites a healthy person. This disease mainly takes place in tropical and subtropical regions.

- Caused by DENV-1,2,3 & 4

The period from the entry of virus through mosquito bite to the development rather appearance of primary symptoms is about 4 to 7 days (or 4 to 14 days)
How does dengue spread?
When the mosquito bites a person who has dengue virus in the blood, mosquito then becomes infected with dengue virus. An then such infected mosquito can further transmit that virus to healthy individuals by biting them.
